How it works

What survives
- One heading per slide, from the slide title
- Body placeholders as nested bullet lists at their original indent level
- Tables on slides as GFM pipe tables
- Slides in presentation order, including ones hidden from the slideshow
What does not
- Speaker notes are not included.
- Text inside grouped shapes, SmartArt and WordArt may be missed — these store text differently from a normal placeholder.
- Slide images and animations are not represented.
Questions
What about .ppsx and .pptm?
They are the same package format with a different intent flag — a slideshow and a macro-enabled deck. Both convert identically here.
Are speaker notes included?
No. The output is the deck as an audience sees it. Notes live in a separate part of the package and are skipped.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The converter is a WebAssembly build of the anydoc engine that runs inside your browser tab. Your file is read into memory, converted, and discarded when you close the page. Nothing is transmitted, stored, or logged.
